Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all patients, and those important to them, in West Kent and East Sussex. As a local charity not part of the NHS we need to raise £8m each year to ensure our services can continue.

Story

On Saturday 17th June 2017 I will be cycling 205 miles in one day for the Chase the Sun (CTS) Ride. I will leave the Isle of Sheppey (Kent) at 4.30am/sunrise and I need to arrive in Burnham-On-Sea (Somerset) by sunset at 9.30pm. UPDATE: I made it (207 miles), with a few seconds to spare :-)

2016 Challenges...
On 25th August 2016 I cycled 206 miles in 12 hours 23 mins (14hrs incl. breaks) around Kent. In 2017, I will be running the Paddock Wood Half (April), Brighton Marathon (April), cycling 'Chase the Sun' 200+ miles east to west coast in a day (June), RideLondon100 (July) and finishing with Bournemouth Marathon (Oct) all for the Hospice.

I have chosen The Hospice in the Weald because in February 2008 my cousin Richard was diagnosed with cancer shortly after his 14th birthday. He defied the odds and the medical experts for more than 5 years before finding peace.

Richard was cared for at the end of his time by the Hospice. I am raising money to help them continue to support individuals & families the way they did for Richard and my family.
