Woody's Lodge is a social hub who signpost, support and mentor veterans, emergency services, reservists and their families in safe, quiet and informal surroundings.

Story

Hi my name is Steve Owen and I am the West Wales Project Manager for the amazing Charity Woody's Lodge, who support Veterans and Emergency services and their families throughout Wales.

Being a wounded Veteran myself I understand the hardship and struggles that our veterans and emergency service personnel go through on a daily basis.

I am going to be walking 85 miles over 7/8 days from Our South Wales site at Amelia Trust Farm in Barry to our West Wales site in Penrhiwpal just out side Llandysul in Ceredigion. This is a tough challenge in general, but being an above knee amputee makes it that little bit tougher physically and mentally.

Doing this walk will not only raise money for us to continue the hard work we do in the support but spread awareness for Veterans care within Wales.

Donations of any amount would be hugely appreciated and could potentially save someones life.

Please take a look at the Woody's lodge website on the amazing work that is being done. www.woodyslodge.org
