Our vision is to be Nottinghamshire’s leading charity for improving community health and wellbeing for those who need us most. We believe that sport, physical activity, education, and wellbeing can transform lives, providing communities with the tools and support they need to thrive.

Story

On the 21st June 2014 I will be volunteering on a charity trip to Ghana with Nottingham Forest in the Community (NFITC), in cooperation with a number of community organisations that support schools and families.

I will be working in a school in the village of Woe, in the Volta region of the country, assisting with teaching and construction work. I am hoping that I will be able to both apply my skills and enthusiasm to whatever work may be required and whatever challenges may arise whilst also learning from a completely different culture.

What makes the trip truly different is that, whilst also supporting projects in Ghana, a portion of the money raised will be for Nottingham Forest in the Community and their work in Nottinghamshire. Therefore the trip will help people both in the UK and Africa.

Andy Reid, the Nottingham Forest captain is instrumental in this trip and will be in Ghana at the same time to continue his good work with local charities in the region.

Whether taking part in one of my fundraisers or donating as much or little as you can here, any help is hugely appreciated.  This is a truly great cause and is the first, hopefully of many that Nottingham Forest plan to support in the future.

Thank you for reading my page and I truly appreciate all the help that you are able to give.
