Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Every year we take part in Challenge Adventure Charities ride to raise money for charity by cycling through France.

Each year 25% of our total goes to Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation. The remaining 50% goes to a charity of our choice and this year we have chosen to support "4Louis"  a UK charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child (https://4louis.co.uk/).

Our 2022 Challenge is for teams of 4 to ride over 500 miles from Saint Malo to Cahors.  We originally planned the Cahors challenge in 2020 but unfortunately due to Covid we have not been able to ride for the last 2 years so we're desperate to get back out there and ride some miles for such great causes.

Challenge Adventure Charities has raised over £4m since 1996 and Team Why has been proud to be contributing for the past 7 years (back in 2019 we raised over £3400 ourselves by climbing Mont Ventoux!). Your contributions really are important to us and provide us great motivation whilst we are away.

Thank you again for your time and any donation you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

For 25 years, we have organised cycle events, mainly in Europe. We have raised a huge £4,378,361 mainly for cancer, heart and other medical research. We pride ourselves that EVERY PENNY that has been raised has been paid to charity - our participants paying the full fees for event entry themselves.
