Macmillan Cancer Support provide support for anybody with or anybody that is affected by cancer.

You probably already know what they do as it is now as little as 1 in 2 people that will get cancer. However, they provide not only medical but also practical and even financial support to anybody affected.

My old man is about to have his second course of radiotherapy, after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in March 2017. He previously had major surgery and radiotherapy and beat it the first time. He did not require much support that time around, but he is now a lot older, frailer (mainly due to the original treatment) and will require a lot more support this time around.

Unfortunately there is only so much family & friends can do so I feel it is a good time to help a charity who may be able to provide him that extra lift during a pretty s**t time to be honest..

The other team members are Callum Morley, James Bunce and Nathan Long. All good mates of mine and raising money themselves also, we are doing this as a team so all donations are currently coming to this page so we can keep track of it as a whole. I know they all know my Dad well and have all got stories of their own to add. Just waiting for them to send me something really then I will put it on here!

We are going to take part in the Longest Day Golf Challenge this year as it is something new and a little bit different. That and I can't really bake so a coffee morning was out of the question.

It may seem a bit of a jolly 4 rounds of golf, however that equates to around a 6.6mile walk per round....9/10miles if you are as bad as me and have to zig zag around the course. so we are looking at around 30 miles we have to cover whilst the light is good. 

I will update with specifics such as actual course lengths, confirmed golfers, exact date and anything else of interest.

Anything you can do would be appreciated.
