In September i will be cycling from lands End to John O'groats to raise money for Motor neurone disease Association. MNDA is a charity very close to my heart as my grandfather passed away after a brave battle with the disease before i was born. Unfortunately i never got to meet the man i have heard so many great stories about. 

Motor Neurone disease as the name suggests attacks the motor functions of the brain and spinal chord effectively stopping the brain being able to communicate with the bodies muscles. Motor Neurone disease does not affect the bodies senses so can leave people in a body unable to walk, talk, swallow and eventually breath whilst being fully aware of what is going on around them. There is currently no cure however MNDA hope to put and end to this.
