After doing a skydive a few years back and then a couple of Wingwalks in Sep 2020 to raise some much needed funds for Team Verrico, I set out to see what I could do for them in 2021. 

I eventually came up with doing a bit of a walk/run, but knew it had to be something challenging, so I thought why not do a coast to coast trek from Scarborough on the North East coast to Liverpool on the North West coast. The distance is 308 km or 191 miles.

The challenge then was how quickly I could do the trek? This is where the "7 Marathons in 7 days" came from. I worked out that if I did the equivalent of a marathon (42km/26.2miles) a day that I could complete the trek in seven days. 

So commencing Sunday 23rd May 2021 I will start my walk/run at Scarborough Castle and I plan to arrive at the Albert Dock in Liverpool on the afternoon of Saturday 29th May 2021.

I would really appreciate any donations to Team Verrico, to allow them to continue their great work. None of the trustees are paid for the work they do at Team Verrico, so every penny donated goes to help people who need it or to fund research to help find cures.
