Story

My boy has decided he wants to do something to help out with people who've been affected by cancer, having lost both of his grandads to the disease. There's a 25 mile off-road race/ride organised by his local pre-school, we will be following this route at an alternate time/day. Due to insurance regulations that have just come to light, we are not allowed in the official event. But that won't stop him from completing this epic distance and raising money for an amazing pair of grandparents. It will be tough with several climbs from the bottom to the top of the Ridgeway. The planned ride should take about 4 hours roughly, which will be tough for a small guy, but his drive and determination will push him through to the end. Along with flapjacks, Haribo and of course lots of stopping just to get his breath :)

But more importantly is the fact that all of this was his own decision, "Daddy, i'd like to help people and cure cancer"... Who am i to refuse an offer/request like that. Many of your have spent time with my lad and are aware he's just a nice boy and has a big heart... Deep down he just wants to help... If this is his best way of doing it, then i'm looking forward to it lots.

It will be on the weekend of the 14th of July and if anyone else wants to join us, we'll be more than happy to either ride with you or just accept your support. I'd love to see some more TRCers there, we'll be taking plenty of snacks, cake, jellies and i may even take a beer on the ride
