Story

TEAM - Keith Coxhill, Kev Wright, Jordan Wright, Kev Thompson, Steve Wright, Ed Wright, Jon Wallbank, Harry Wallbank and Rod Taylor (non-cycling!)

I'm not going to pretend we weren't doing this anyway but having decided to do this, we wanted to raise some money for a good cause at the same time.

There are so many good causes, but when Dave Robinson died having suffered from a rare cancer, the decision was taken for us. Robbo's death coming a year after Dave Benjamin's death and just a handful of years since Phil Smith and Simon Lord were also taken from us so young, you do feel like just saying enough is enough. (Sadly there are many others we have lost and these are just a few of the most recent). If we can help anyone else avoid suffering the same fate, we have to do it.

This is just our little bit, a reminder to us all that we're fortunate to be here and that if we can afford to help, then let's do it. We don't know who we might be helping but chances are it will be someone we know
all to well. So let's fight it now.

On the team we have Kev Thompson, Keith Coxhill, Steve Wright, his son Ed Wright, Kev Wright, his son Jordan Wright, Jon Wallbank and his son Harry Wallbank, . Driving the support vehicle is the great Rod Taylor
who has kindly taken 3 days out of his busy life to help us all out.

It's a hilly route, taking on the Lakes in day 1 and the Pennines in day 2 before rolling down hill to Newcastle and on to Tynemouth. Setting off on August 12th in Whitehaven, we plan to arrive bright and breezy
in Tynemouth on Sunday 14th!
