Have you ever had a goal that seems completely insurmountable? Maybe you've even put it aside because it seems impossible?
Imagine jumping into 14 degree C water. Behind you is Dover, England. Ahead of you, 21 - 30 miles ahead to be exact, is Cap Gris Nez, France. In 12 to 15 hours (estimated average), after manoeuvring strong tides, jellyfish, and rubbish, if all the right conditions are in alignment, you will emerge victorious having swum the English Channel.
In August a few hardy souls and myself will be popping out to pick up some croissants, we will be paddling out into the cold deep sea that is known as the English Channel and hopefully many hours later landing in France.
With this in mind I thought it would be the perfect moment to try and raise some money for some great people who are doing important work. I'll be trying to raise at least £1250 for brainstrust, which funds research into brain tumors and supports patients at the point of diagnosis.
£250 will pay for a diagnosis and so save a life. Any support you are able to give would be greatly appreciated and you can sponsor me and read a bit more about what we are doing by going to my web page.
All cost will be met by the team out of their own pocket so 100% of your donation goes to Brainstrust. The knowledge of your donations will help me hold off the chills, add light into the darkness and give me the courage to carry on when all I want to do is stop.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brainstrust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
