Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

A serviceman based at RAF Brize Norton was been diagnosed with a brain tumour in March 17. Corporal J Campling a Serviceman in the RAF was informed that he had a Brain Tumour. The news was shocking to friends, family and a huge throw back to the individual himself. Since being diagnosed Cpl J Campling has defied the odds and is holding on. Since the news of the tumour there has been several charitable events organised in Cpl J Campling’s home town of Grimsby, raising money towards the Brain Tumour Researches charity. As an attempt to both honour Cpl Campling and promote the BTR charity, serving personnel from Carver Barracks will be conducting a 24 hour Rowathon.

The 5 soldiers will be static rowing a minimum of 546 Km between the team in a 24 hour period! 1Km for everyday of Cpl’s Camplings struggle from being diagnosed to the day of the event.

The event will begin on the 28th Nov 17

So please help by donating anything that you can as it is in aid of a good cause to hopefully solve this once and for all.
