Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Starting on 26 July I'll be walking from Wallsend in the north east to Bowness-on-Solway in the north west and back again in a 'swords and sandals' epic 168-mile, 7-day round trip following Hadrian's Wall Path.

I'm walking in support of the Dementia Services Development Trust which does fantastic work for people with dementia and their carers and families. My Dad, John Black, died last year after 17 years living with dementia, but he's just one of thousands of people who are, and will be, affected by dementia. The walk is a fitting tribute to his memory - I spent many hours with him tramping mile after mile just for the heck of it!
