Steven Loveridge - raising money for DHCT and Seaborough Church

DHCT Ride + Stride · 9 September 2017 ·
This is a last minute shout out for sponsorship. I decided to raise money this morning by cycling tomorrow, Thursday 7th September 2017, for this event. Ed and I went cycling in France on holiday and now I am slightly fit for the first time in ten years, it seems churlish not to push myself (and take advantage of my friends' generosity) by being involved.
I will cycle around the 15 churches that make up the Beaminster Area Team Ministry, including our village church in Seaborough (which will receive half the funds I raise). The distance is not so bad at about 45 miles, but the hills here are the killer with a total climb of over 1000 metres. Then, when I finish visiting the last church, the steepest climb is yet to come to take me home.
Dorset Historic Churches Trust supports churches throughout Dorset. Seaborough Church is in our closest village and our three children were christened there. It is one of the smallest villages in the area with 65 people, 100s of horses and countless sheep. The church needs to have its windows repaired and the bells restored.
