Story

I am raising funds for St. Luke's Hospice, Basildon and Thurrock. By taking part in Strictly St Luke’s 2020.

I have chosen to step out of my comfort zone and take part in this amazing event for 2 main reasons : firstly having seen the care a close friend received at St Luke’s last year and how dedicated and passionate the whole team are,it became very apparent that fundraising is so important. And secondly as most of you know that having lost a significant amount of weight my new ethos is to challenge myself and try new things.

So I have 8 weeks with the help of my professional dance partner to learn an American Smooth and a Salsa. On the night we will be dancing in front of 500 people and four professional judges. As anyone who knows me knows my dancing experience extends to Dad dancing only ( and a little bit of Spice Girls).

They keep telling me it’s going to be a fun experience but the most important thing is to raise as much money as possible for this amazing Charity that helps so many local people and their families in some of the darkest hours of their lives.

No matter how little you can spare, every donation will go towards a brilliant cause. So please dig as deeply as you can to help me reach my target. And let’s just hope I haven’t got to wear sequins and a leotard on the night.
