Story
Hi all, I am cycling Lands End to John O’Groats at the end of March this year. I have 13 days to cover 1087 miles. I am are doing the long hilly Tour De France route. I am doing every mile and I would like to take the opportunity to raise some money for charity using the power of the UKTC and Facebook and Just Giving.
I have chosen Children with Cancer as the charity and covered many 100s of miles in preparation. To be honest I am loving it and can’t wait to hopefully complete the challenge. We even climbed Ben Nevis as part of our training. Given my own health issues with cancer in years gone past this is an issue and charity close to my heart especially for children affected by this terrible affliction. All donations are very welcome and very much appreciated.
Thanks Steven Murphy
Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That’s ten every day. Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. We fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and we work to protect young lives through essential welfare programmes.
