After my success raising funds for the Royal Liverpool
Palliative Care Unit last year I wanted to help another similar charity in any
way I can.

Zoe's Place is a local Hospice who provide palliative and
respite support for babies and children under 5 years old.

They provide support for families of babies and young
children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses as well as end of
life palliative care and bereavement support. 

Knowing first-hand the effect this can have when it is an
adult being provided these services the strength and courage required to give
this to a child is astounding. 

As the father of a young child I couldn't even imagine what
going through this would be like. The very thought of it is heart-breaking. For
some though this is a devastating reality and Zoe's Place are there to support
them. 

I do not have the strength, will or ability to support those
in need during what is the worst nightmare for any family. What I can do is
run, cycle and swim. And pester everyone I know (and those I don't) to put
their hands in their pocket and give whatever they can. 

This year I'm going to be completing the following events:

Liverpool half Marathon

Mersey Tunnel 10K

Chester Half Marathon

Hale Village 5 miler

Rock ‘N' Roll Liverpool Half Marathon

Southport Triathlon

Liverpool to Chester 100 Mile cycle

Wirral half Marathon

And a bunch of other 10k runs that I can't currently
remember! 

I'll be proudly wearing the Zoe's Place colours during these
events.

So please dig deep and give whatever you can while I ruin my
feet and knees, get sunburnt and bitten by every type of insect going.
