DSO provides information, help and activities for children with Down’s Syndrome and their families in the Oxfordshire area. We offer Speech and Language therapy, a supportive network of people with a wealth of experience, and friendship at organised social events for children and adults of all ages.

Story

My nephew Lucas who is 6 years old happens to have Down syndrome, he isn't Different
He is like any other little boy it just takes him longer to do things that we all take for granted .

Lucas lives in Oxford where they have a great support network Down Syndrome Oxford who make it possible for children with Down syndrome to meet up and do things together also early development groups and they are in the process of getting school age children together for speech and language development and to do all of these things they have to raise money .

Lucas mum and dad Shelley and Paul said without having the support of Down syndrome Oxford things would be very different and would feel very alone . Lucas goes to mainstream school and has lots of friends with out Down syndrome but with DSO he has met lots of friends with Down Syndrome.

Recently Lucas has been diagnosed with Leukaemia and the support from friends though the group have been amazing .

Please sponsor me in my quest to clock up as close to 1000 miles over a 12 month period that my body deems physically possible.

My quest will start on the 12th of October with the Oxford half marathon and will end with the Oxford half marathon 2015. I aim to combine as many races as possible with training runs, will update my progress regularly so please donate and help DSO carry on supporting family's with children with DS.
