Story
Here he goes go again! Charity bike ride I hear you say! Yep sure is, and why? Bloody cancer again!
I could have shaved my head for this but that's not really enough of a challenge!!
So!! I'm going to ride coast to coast from Port Patrick to North Berwick. I choose these two places because North Berwick was a popular holiday destination when we were kids and close enough for dad to still nip home to milk those bloody cows in the morning! And Port Patrick because me and Angie used to visit while down visiting George and Monica while they were in Kirkcowan.
January 2016 my mum was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer! Being the very private people my parents are this wasn't made public until she started her treatment, 1st of April haha April fools day aye!! Yip 1st round of chemotherapy and I can tell you that's no much fun and I wasn't even getting any!!
Leading up to major operation and support from so many people mum had her operation to remove her oesophagus on the 16th August! Nearly 5 weeks in hospital and still getting fed via a tube into her stomach she is home and making great progress all from the support of a brilliant surgeon, nurses and everyone involved.
