Story
Losing my Grandad, nearly 25 years ago, has meant that leukaemia has had a significant and devastating impact on my life. In recent months, I have been reminded of this impact through the experience of a close friend. So, when deciding to challenge myself to run this half marathon, it felt right to do it in support of Leukaemia Care and in memory of Grandad.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. This is a charity extremely close to my heart and I hope to raise as much money as possible to support their vital work.
