Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
"Charity" What is charity? Charity is the act of giving money, goods or time to the unfortunate, either directly or by means of a charitable trust or other worthy cause.
Whether your a believer in charity or not!! Thousands of charities run each day helping the unfortunate! To do so, it takes dedication, time and MONEY!
The Scottish War Blinded charity has shown me first hand what support charities can give! You can check them out for yourself on... http://www.royalblind.org/warblinded/
I lost the sight in my right eye whilst on a training exercise in Kenya in Sept 08. Due to numerous complications, contracting a tropical infection, being heavily medicated and having undergone atleast one dozen operations without any success, I had surgery in May 2011 which resulted in me losing my right eye in a bid to prevent further complications.
This has had a major impact on my life at various levels. As a result I have been medically discharged from the Army, feel like I've lost my identity and see the marathon as a challenge that will give me a focus over the coming months.
So... now I'm able to move forward and I'm looking to complete the Edinburgh Marathon on May 27th, (not set a time yet). I'll just need to see how things go.
Please Help
Can you give a donation? Every little helps. You never know what is around the corner and what charity MIGHT come to your aid!!
