Story
We’re four likely dads – Roger, Lloyd, Trevor and Steve – with a combined age of 240 years (give or take!) taking on an extraordinary challenge: Race the Sun – Jurassic Coast in support of Action Medical Research.
On 27th June, we’ll set off at sunrise and Race the Sun to finish before sunset. Between those two points?
🚴 21 miles of tough off-road cycling
🏃 10 miles of running and hiking
🛶 2 miles of kayaking
All across the rugged Jurassic Coast.
It’s going to hurt. There will be hills, blisters, aching legs and serious paddling arms. But every mile we push through is nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by sick and disabled children.
Action Medical Research has been funding life-changing medical breakthroughs for over 70 years. Their work helps:
Prevent premature birth
Support children living with lifelong disabilities
Develop pioneering treatments for rare and devastating diseases
Right now, families across the UK are facing unimaginable challenges. The research funded by this charity gives them hope and real, practical help.
We’re asking you to turn our sweat and sore muscles into something powerful.
👉 Please donate whatever you can.
Every pound brings us closer to new treatments, new answers, and brighter futures for children who desperately need them.
Thank you so much for your support – it truly means the world to us and to the families you’ll be helping.
