Event: RBLI Sleepout, on 26 March 2020
We are sleeping outside in our back gardens (in isolation) to raise awareness of veteran homeless and to provide support to veterans living in the RBLI Aylesford Village. We will be keeping in touch with each other via social media channels.

Story

Over many years RBLI have helped a large number of veterans who have come to our village in Aylesford who have nowhere else to go. For various reasons our ex-service personnel have found themselves without a home or support at a time when they need it most. RBLI is dedicated to helping homeless veterans by providing them with welfare assistance and accommodation and I am really proud to be taking part in this event and fundraising to support vulnerable veterans.

I will be raising awareness of homelessness in the Armed Forces community as well as raising vital funds for RBLI enabling them to continue to support programmes like Step In, which not only houses veterans in crisis, but also creates a community from which individuals can programme a route back to independence.  I'll be meeting veterans and learning about their story, whilst raising money to support them and those who are yet to arrive on the RBLI Village in Aylesford. I would be so grateful to receive any donations you're able to give.
