My name is Steve Tebb and I have been a member of Clowne Road Runners for the last 5 or 6 years.

During this time one of my clubmates (Bridget) mother, has sadly passed away. Bridget's mother (Lorna) was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and whilst I read Bridget's & Lorna's exploits on Facebook with both fondness & sadness, I did not really realise just how devastating this disease is to both the victim and their family - sadly Lorna passed away on July 21st 2019.

It was not until I watched the Rob Burrow documentary (through teary eyes) on the BBC, that I realised what a cruel and horrible disease MND is for everyone involved.

Bridget herself has so far raised over £6200 for the South Yorkshire MNDA, In line with Bridgets efforts - I would like all money raised to go to the South Yorkshire branch.

With this in mind I have challenged myself to run from Bridlington to
Blackpool from the 2nd to the 8th August, this equates to around 20
miles per day - a total of 140 miles over the 7 days.

Bridget herself will be joining me for both the first leg and also the last leg to Blackpool Tower.

Hopefully a few clubmates will also join us running from the South shore in Blackpool up to the Tower, charity buckets in hand!

Last but certainly not least, a big thank you to my main sponsors - LEW Electrical Distributors.

Cheers Steve.
