We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Hey ladies and gents,

One of the charities I have supported for a while now is Parkinson's UK in Scotland. And I feel I should use my social profile for a great charity.

You see, My dad has suffered for a long time, and had to take early retirement from a job he loved.  It’s sad to see people you love suffer with the disease, not just my dad but my mum.  Hopefully with support, raising awareness we can one day find a cure for this degenerative disease and save so many families suffering from it.

In 2014 I ran a local half marathon for Parkinsons and planned to do it every year, but my life changed quite drastically for a few years (for the better) and unfortunately i never  got a chance to do it.  The Alloa half marathon was cancelled in March so I signed up for the rescheduled one on the 3rd of June, I’ve worked hard to get my fitness up the last few months 👍🏻.

I will be running the half marathon for Parkinson on the 3rd of June. And also doing tough mudder combined for the same cause with my brother Paul who arranged and me to do it with him, along with my sister n law and good friend.

Any donation to this cause is appreciated.  Today I have already reached over 90% of my target, hopefully I can double my target.

I have saw first hand how cruel this disease can be. Hopefully you can help donate/raise awareness and as I mentioned, one day we might find a cure.

Much love,

Stevie 💙 xxx

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
