Story
July of this year my families world was turned upside down. My mum was diagnosed with a glioblastoma. Found by pure chance after a car accident.
8 weeks have gone by and my mum has enrolled in a clinical trial, undergone brain surgery and is just about to start her radio and chemo treatment.
Her attitude and determination is something I truly admire. So when I saw the brain tumour research was hosting a fundraiser to walk/run/jog 99 miles in November, I just had to get involved.
I’m no runner so it’s probably lots of walking, I’m sure my two dogs will appreciate it!
Money raised will go straight to the brain tumour research. My mum has been given a lifeline and was accepted on a trial to use a device which should prolong her life, not everyone gets this chance. Anyone diagnosed with this disease should be given the same chance to fight this disease but more money and research is needed. If we can help just one more person then that’s our goal.
Please give where you can, join me on my walks and let’s raise as much money as we can!
