Stevie Paris is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Pancreatic Cancer Uk · 1 February 2021 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

January of this year I was made aware of the devastating news that My Aunty Eve had lost her battle to pancreatic cancer. My Aunty was diagnosed late last year. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most silent killers of them all. This is why I want to make awareness and raise as much as I can for more research to take place. My Aunty was well known for her charity events and would have been the first to take on any challenge of it meant raising money and awareness for something important. I feel that this is the least I can do for Aunty Eve memory and I will struggle through the pain daily knowing that she will be watching and cheering everyone who is taking part on! I’m very lucky in my job to work with young children and one particular child has taken it upon himself to personally train me for the next coming month. I have also explained why I am taking part and he has decided that he will be running the mile with me daily at school for motivation and support. This young man is 5 years old and wow I’m so proud of him that already at his young age he wants to make a difference! I also need to mention that I have never run a day in a my life apart from sports day 1995 in the 100 metre race, so need all the support I can get! So I’m pleading to you all, please if you have any spare change no matter how small please please please donate. It’s for a fantastic cause and in memory of one fantastic woman, my Aunty Eve.
