Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2017 · 30 July 2017 ·
We're going to be taking part in the RideLondon-Surrey 100 event in July this year, raising funds to support the fantastic charity that is The Lily Foundation. The event will see riders cycle across London, head south to tackle some of Surrey’s steepest hills, including Box Hill and Leith Hill, before riding back into London to finish on The Mall.
Whilst challenging and somewhat daunting for us, this is nothing compared to the daily challenges the children (and their families) with Mitochondrial Disease face. Our inspiration for taking on this challenge is Arthur and his family. We first met Arthur through Jenny (Stewart's wife), when she introduced this bouncing bundle of fun. He brings a smile to your face whenever he’s in the room, encourages you to be mischievous and live your life to the full. This is reflected by his family, Kitty, Marcus, Ned and Billy, who are supportive and caring of not only each other, but those around them and the whole Lily Foundation.
Whatever you can spare will be gratefully received and will give us that little bit more motivation to keep the pedals turning.
About The Lily Foundation
The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today. Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
