Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have gotten into running  in the last year or so and love it. Helps keep the mind ticking. As it’s my 1st attempt at a marathon I wanted to do it for a cause close to home.

My dad was unfortunate to have a disease called Clarksons disease. It’s a rare disease that less than 500 people have had since it was discovered in 1960.

At best 3-5 years life expectancy is given on diagnosis, but we were very lucky we had a doctor who took a lot of time and effort to research this disease and my dad Noel lived for 9 years which is unheard of.

So I’m running for rare disease UK so that if any money raised could help any other family have that little bit of extra time with their loved one like my family and I had- I know my dad would be very happy.
