ABOUT ME:
I'm a 39 year old Sales Executive who got into running while in high school and have loved it ever since. I have completed several marathons and triathlons, and have always had the dream of running the prestigious London Marathon. After a few years away from running, I've been keen to find a goal/race to target, and have been fortunate enough to gain an entry to the London Marathon through a fundraising initiative with Breadline Africa.

WHY THE LONDON MARATHON?
Having personally experienced how sport can transform my own life, I believe there is a natural synergy with what Breadline Africa is trying to achieve through its initiatives supporting childhood development, especially given the future potential of the lives this can touch. I'm excited about the prospect of raising funds for Breadline Africa through my journey to completing the London Marathon in October, and more specifically, the Kuhleke-Inathi-Mbale Educare project.

KUHLEKE-INATHI-MBALE EDUCARE NEEDS OUR HELP

Principal, Nosabatha Lukubeni started her educare in her own home with 10 children. The need in her community continues to grow and she now has 30 youngsters, with many more wanting to join. They are quickly outgrowing their current shack structure and a new safe space will allow Nosabatha the opportunity to offer a safe and comfortable environment for the children.

All 30 children and teachers are using one shack for the school, kitchen and one small toilet. It is not hygienic or safe for them to continue in this space. A new, safe classroom and separate kitchen toilet will also bring them closer to being eligible for a government subsidy.

With your donations, we hope to provide Kuhleke-Inathi-Mbale Educare with safe classrooms and hygienic kitchen and toilet facilities. Let's give these children a safe and nurturing environment to grow and learn in.
