Channel Swim Challenge for ACT · 21 October 2008

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.

Story

Welcome

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. The whole family have completed our Swim the Channel Challenge - we have all swum 22 miles in the past 8 weeks.  That's over 1,400 lengths of our local pool.

It was a big challenge for Esme who's only 9 and Jessica who's 13 and it co-incided with John's Radiotherapy treatment schedule as he kicks his prostate cancer in the goolies!  It was a good way for us all to stay energised and positive as we head into Winter.

We are supporting ACT - the Addenbrookes Charitable Trust who are raising money for Cancer Radiotherapy team at Addenbrookes - who are treating John. So please sponsor generously!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: our charities get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So do give us loads of support, we've all managed to swim a LOOOOONG way!
