Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.

Story

Hello, my name is May Harbison and I am 2 years old.

Last year my daddy took part in something called the Great North Run. This is a big race which is 13.1 miles long. My daddy ran this to raise £1,500 for BLISS, who are a charity that help babies like me.

I was born 9 weeks early and weighed 3lb 7oz.

I stayed in hospital for 5 weeks and thanks to people like BLISS, who help fund research into helping premature and poorly babies, I got the best care.

I am a big girl now and I have a little brother called Tom, I like looking after him because he was poorly too when he was born.

My daddy is running again this year on the 5th of October and he is hoping to raise lots more money, last year he did it dressed as Superman and this year he is going to do the same unless anybody has any better ideas..............

My daddy ran the race in 2 hours and 15 minutes last year which is OK but this year he has done lots more training and hopes to beat that by lots and lots!

Please sponsor my daddy and help lots more babies like me and my little brother!

Lots of love

May
