Stewarts Law have entered 6 teams into the London Triathlon. The teams consist of Partners, Associates, Solicitors, Trainees, Paralegals, client’s and friends. 

One of our team, Andy, is a double amputee consequent to serious burn injuries and we will be raising money for Dan’s Fund for Burns, a charity which provides Burn survivors in the UK with ongoing support, resources and practical assistance with their recovery. 

 

Andy says: “Burns are for life. Aside from the physical effects of their burn injuries, burns survivors often face challenges in social, lifestyle and other areas.  Returning to a previous way of life can’t be taken for granted, and is often unlikely.

 

“Facing these unfamiliar challenges and, where necessary, making adjustments can be emotionally and practically difficult for burns survivors as well as their families.  Dan’s Fund for Burns is a charity group which understands and assists with the needs of burns survivors.  To give just a few examples, their efforts have assisted in funding for a clinical psychologist at a NHS burns unit, sponsorship of young burn survivors to children’s burns camps, assisting in medical research, and assisting in the establishment of new burns support groups (one of which I am proudly involved in as a NHS-trained volunteer).”
