We fund AADC medical & scientific research to improve the lives of our sick children

Story

Marcus, was diagnosed with Aromatic Amino Acid Decarboxylase Deficiency (AADC) at just six months old. He is one of approximately 100 sufferers worldwide some of whom have lost their precious young lives.

AADC is a very rare metabolic neurotransmitter disease which prevents the production of the chemicals Dopamine and Seratonin, two of the brains main neurotransmitters needed for everyday life. This is similar to Parkinson's disease.

Marcus currently can not stand or sit unaided and requires assistance with everyday tasks that we all take for granted.

Gene therapy replacement trials is a magnificent scientific breakthrough which means all AADC sufferers like Marcus will be given the chance to have a better quality of life if they can have the Gene Therapy replacement. This procedure will replace the missing Gene responsible for this debilitating condition.

Marcus is a happy seven year old boy with so much to give but still so trapped. Please help by sponsoring his Dad in hope of giving Marcus and the other children around the world the chance to live their life to the full.
