London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

My lovely dad died within 20 months of being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. It is a cruel condition with no cure.

I can’t change my dad’s outcome but I can carry on his brave fight and try to do my bit to help fund vital research to find a cure so that other people might get a fighting chance to beat this awful disease 🙏🏻

Last year I ran the London Marathon on 28th April a week after the one year anniversary of my beautiful dad’s death. My dad was a warrior and dealt with his illness so courageously. He is my inspiration and it is my love for my dad that motivated me to train through the freezing cold winter months & got me over the finish line on a very emotional day.

In 2020 I want to do more fundraising and have signed up to do the Yorkshire Dales Marathon Walk in May.

Please help me to raise money for this extremely worthy cause, so close to my heart ❤️

Much love, Katie xxx
