The next few months may demand more of us all. But, with your help, well never stop caring. No matter what. Well continue to work tirelessly with families, friends and individuals to ensure that no one is ever left to cope alone.

Story

Each year, the Mayor of Biggleswade raises funds for a chosen charity. The Mayor’s chosen charity for 2020/21 was Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, Moggerhanger.

Last year donations totalled £582.12, which provided 30 hours of expert care to people in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire suffering from cancer, heart failure, lung disease and motor neurone disease. Any further donations are welcome and can really help to make a difference in people’s lives. If you wish to donate to Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice please do so using this Just Giving page.

With the unprecedented circumstances this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor of Biggleswade, Madeline Russell, was forced to cancel the annual Civic Service. The event would have been an opportunity to focus on the community of Biggleswade and to recognise and thank the many individuals who do so much for our town in so many ways. It would also have been a further means of raising money for the St John’s Hospice.
