Story

1 Weekend | Over 75 St Michael's Rowers | 3,150 Kms | 3.15 Million Metres | €2,000 Fundraising Target for Pieta House

St Michael's Rowing Club members will take part in a Marathon Fundraiser Weekend in aid of Pieta House on Saturday April 24th & Sunday April 25th.

Each rower will clock up a minimum of 42km (Marathon Distance) on rowing machines, running, walking/hiking or by cycling 84km. Our target is to cover over 3 Million Metres over one weekend.

Our younger junior crews (aged 12-15) will compete in relay teams to hit the 42km mark. Joining them in completing individual marathon distances will be our Junior 16-18s, Seniors, Recreational Squads and our Masters crews.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see our progress.

Our fundraising target is €2,000 and we hope our members, supporters, local businesses and the public will row behind us to reach our goal. This is not a rowing club fundraiser, all funds raised are donated to Pieta House to support them in the amazing and vital work that they do.

** Everyone taking part in the event is doing so from home as we are observing social distance guidelines**

Donate Now to support our St Michael's Rowing Club Rowers as we  demonstrate that Mileage Makes Champions to cover over 3 Million Metres and raise funds for Pieta House

Pieta' vision is a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. By supporting us you will allow us to strive to make this a reality. Without your support we would not have been able to give hope to over 50,000 people since we first opened our doors in 2006.All of our services (one-to-one counselling, 24 hour helpline, SBLO Service, Training and Education) are provided free of charge. This is only possible because of you.
