We have chosen to support the National Literacy Trust as part of our World Book Day celebrations, as literacy is so important for young people to lead happy and successful lives. Research carried out by the NLT has shown that students who read for pleasure regularly, are three times as likely to read above their expected age level; they not only achieve more highly in English, but also in Maths too! We would like to inspire a love of reading at The Stonehenge School and will continue to organise events that promote Reading for Pleasure.
