The University of Gloucestershire's Stop the Heartbreak campaign, launched with the Citizen in 2013, aims to raise funds for vital cardiac screening for young people aged 14-35 in the county and to promote the use of defibrillators in sporting and community venues.

In 2016 we have two screening days booked; one in Gloucester on Saturday 20th February and one in Cheltenham on Sunday 21st February. Up to 100 people can be screened each day by CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

We need to raise £7,000 so that 200 people can take advantage of the screening for free. This screening is important because it can detect any potential heart issues which could, if not deteced, be fatal.

Please donate or organise a fundraising event to help us.
