Stop4Change Coaching is Fundraising for the Mental Health Charity MIND

Outlaw Half Nottingham 2023 · 21 May 2023 ·
I've been working in the field of transformational coaching, leadership and professional development with Stop4Change since 2019.
My training and experience has enabled me to support a growing number of people including those suffering with their mental health.
Whilst working with people and supporting organisations remains a privilege, having worked through my own challenges in life drives me to continue to raise awareness and inspire others to seek out the help and support they need in order to thrive in life.
In 2021 I completed an Ultra Marathon for 'New Hope' a homeless charity I had been volunteering for in my home town of Watford. Me, Stop4change and Steve (a great guy who had fallen upon hard times and been helped by 'New Hope') managed to raise over £3000 by running 50K.
In 2022 my family and I moved from Hertfordshire to Norfolk (after 45 years born and bred in Watford) in search of a better work/life balance.
Now in 2023, after a year of transition and feeling settled into the area I felt it was time to take on a new challenge for my new home county Norfolk and home town of Loddon.
I wanted to combine this challenge with fundraising for a charity that has a positive impact in Norfolk and take on something difficult enough to keep me slightly fearful but motivated to train hard.
So, I decided to take part in the Nottingham Half Iron Man Triathlon on Sunday 21st May 2023 for the mental health charity Mind.
The event requires me to complete a 1.2 mile swim, followed by a 56 mile bike ride and finish with a 13.1 mile run (70.3 miles in total).

I also plan to speak to Minds volunteers, employees and maybe even service users (if willing) to share their experiences and help people better understand what Mind as a charity brings to Norfolk/Suffolk.
In my experience as a coach it's never been more important to fundraise at a time when our national health service is so stretched and many people are stuck on waiting lists and desperate for support.
With this in mind I will also be offering a limited number of free coaching sessions through Stop4Change for those unable to pay. These sessions will be starting from March and continuing through until the end of May.
Please DM me or e-mail support@stop4change.co.uk if you would like to find out more.
Thanks to charities such as 'Mind', many more people are seeking support, getting the help they need and beginning their journey of recovery.
I’d be grateful if you would be willing to support me in any way you can and help me to reach my sponsorship target.
Even if you can't donate, maybe you could share my page and social media posts going forward.
