We support SMEs in developing economies to develop their business & achieve growth

Charity Registration No. SC028814

Welcome to my JustGiving page.

In July I will volunteer for 12 weeks on a development programme in Africa. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working alongside volunteers from Africa on a project that helps small entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses, indirectly helping tackle unemployment within the country. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

I need to raise £800. The money raised will go towards supporting the work of Challenges Worldwide and their ICS partner organisations and will not go directly to pay for the placement, flights, visas or vaccinations. It contributes to the ICS programme so that a further 10,000 young people from the UK can volunteer on projects in the developing world to fight poverty.

In order to raise this I will be shaving ALL of my hair off. I have been growing my hair for 19 months with the end goal of donating my locks to the Little Princess Trust, a charity who aim to support children going through chemotherapy by supplying them with wigs.

Why #StopTheKnot? Well if anyone’s seen this hilarious YouTube video (see the link below) you will know they went about cutting off people's topknots in revolt of this hipster hairstyle (all staged of course). I mistakenly shared this video enduring a frightening 3 months whilst friends and family chased me with scissors in jest.

I will also be doing charity collections in Loughborough, London and many more destinations. If there’s something you want me to do for a large donation, name it and I’ll probably do it. You can keep track of how I get on here on my Just-giving page. Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!

Thanks for your support!
