Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Stortford Inferiors has been resurrected again and this year we are entering two teams to raise money for the children's charity Action Medical Research, which is a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children.

Despite enormous progress in medicine, there are still hundreds of thousands of sick and disabled children who need our help.

Research is the key to saving many of these children from a lifetime of suffering, yet surprisingly medical research into conditions that devastate children's lives is poorly funded.

By taking part in Race the Sun Lake District, Stortford Inferiors and sponsors, will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenge caused by disabilities and to help develop treatment for rare and incurable diseases.

Right now, the best medical minds in children's hospitals and universities across the UK are waiting for the green light to start research that could lead to life-changing treatments for babies and children.  They just need the funding.

Will you help us reach our target?  Just one breakthrough, however small, can mean the world.
