HD-YO World Congress 2020 · 9 May 2020

The Huntington's Disease Youth Organization is an international non-profit supporting, educating, and empowering young people up to 35 years, impacted by Huntington's Disease (HD).

Story

In May 2020 the Huntington's Disease Youth Organisation (HDYO) is holding its first ever International Young Adult congress in Glasgow, Scotland!  This event will be the largest ever gathering of young adults impacted in some way by Huntington's disease (HD) around the world with an estimated 500 young attendees. The event will be incredibly meaningful and beneficial to any young adult in a HD family who attends. They will have the opportunity to meet the researchers working in the HD space, to ask questions about HD and most importantly to meet other young people with similar experiences.

To help get as many young adults there who can't afford to go, HDYO has set up a scholarship fund and the Stout lab at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia is aiming to raise as much money as possible to support this fund!

To do this we need the help of every person, whether touched by HD or not, to get on board and support this worthy cause. We will be holding a series of events (updated through this page as well as our website) to raise funds.

If you can't make it to our fundraising events but still want to be involved, then please donate directly to this page and leave us a message so we can thank you personally! All proceeds go directly to the HDYO Scholarship fund!
