Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit StPetersChurchAltonStaffordshire JustGiving page, which is supported by the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money to Lichfield Diocesan Trust who will forward it to St Peter's Church, Alton. ...so its the most efficient way to donate.
During these unprecedented times, we have lost vital income from collection plate donations, from services , weddings, and funerals, especially as we all tend to carry less cash on our person and instead we use our bank and credit cards more frequently.
We now find ourselves unable to meet all of the costs of running and maintaining our church and churchyards, and in addition, we now need to replace our very old central heating boiler. We would be grateful for your help to either make a regular or single donation to StPetersChurchAltonStaffordshire.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, quick and secure, and if you are able to do so, please chose to gift aid your donation, which increases your donation to us by 25% at no extra cost to you. So, from a gift aided donation of £20, we will actually receive £25. Whilst we are fundraising via the Lichfield Diocesan Trust, this is for administration purposes and all the money you donate using this QR code will be forwarded to St. Peter's Church, Alton, Staffs.
We have a service each Sunday at 10.45am, alternating between Holy Communion and Morning Prayer. In addition we have a short Holy Communion service at 10.30am each Thursday.
We have close connections with our local school, St.Peter's Accedamy in Alton. Each month, during term time, the children come to church for our Open The Book presentation where members of our congregation present a short bible story using audio visual resources and acting various parts of the story.
Every two weeks on Tuesday afternoons we hold our Craft Cuppa Cafe in church, where everyone can bring their craft projects, chat, have a cuppa, share skills and even learn some new ones!
Thank you so much, in anticipation of your support for St. Peter's Church.
