Story
Balloons is a charity that provides support for children, young people and their families before an expected death, or following the death, of someone significant in their lives. They work across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, providing a dedicated phone line, one-to-one support with children and young people in a safe environment, activity days for children and family events.
The school council has chosen to support Balloons this term, as it is a charity close to our heart.
In memory of one of the dads who sadly passed away five years ago, we are holding a sponsored penalty shoot-out in his honour.
On the day the children will be able to wear their sports kits (football shirts encouraged, even Liverpool!) and they will see how many goals they can score for their team.
Here is the timetable of events.
Friday 3rd March - We have a special assembly, where Balloons will be talking to the children about what they do, and bringing in some prizes for the penalty shoot out.
Tuesday 28th March - Penalty shoot-out day. There will also be a cake sale, so donations gratefully received.
Children can start collecting money for the penalty shoot out now. The aim is to beat the goalkeeper with at least one of their shots to earn your donation (we will help them of course!). There will be a prize for the most scored, and the most money raised in each year group.
Thank you in advance for your support.
