Loathed Strangers' Shield - Charity Match

The Loathed Strangers' Shield - Charity Match · 2 May 2021
ALAN McLoughlin has made a huge contribution to Swindon Town FC during his career both as a player and a coach.
We're raising money for the Prospect Hospice with the inaugural Loathed Strangers' Shield match on Sunday 2nd May to show Macca how grateful we are to him for his total commitment to the Town.
Former Town players and staff have signed up to take part in the behind-closed-doors match, which will feature the likes of:
Rhys Evans, Ian Herring, Matt Heywood, Brian Howard, Noel Hunt, Jerel Ifil, Sam Parkin, Jamie Pitman, Phil Smith, Richie Wellens plus Honor Fraser and Gipsy Viveash of Swindon Town Women.
Several special guests have also agreed to take part in the encounter, which will see a 90-minute match played at The Energy Check County Ground.
The match will be officiated by former Premier League referee Lee Probert, who took charge of the 2014 FA Cup Final.
Our thanks to the club for agreeing to host and to STFC staff, especially Danny Lee and Steve Hooper, for supporting what we hope will be a special day - raising valuable funds and awareness for The Prospect Hospice.
