Enhancing the care and treatment of patients accessing NHS services at Poole, Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals by fundraising to provide enhanced facilities, state of the art equipment and support NHS staff health, wellbeing and development.

Story

We are proud to be taking part in the New Forest 100 sportive this September 2020, fundraising for the amazing Bournemouth Hospital Charity in the hope of giving something back to our local community.

Back in 2015 Paul’s Dad was treated at Bournemouth Hospital during his battle with leukaemia which he unfortunately lost,  and ever since Paul has wanted to give something back to help support the fantastic work that all at Bournemouth Hospital did during that time and in particular Ward 11 which treats cancer patients.

In more recent years other members of the Strategic Solutions family have had friends who have been treated in Ward 11 and we all want to thank them in providing such amazing care to our friends and family under such difficult circumstances.

This cause will really make a difference to those undergoing treatment and looks to support several projects which aim to make a patient’s time at the hospital as comfortable and effective as possible, these include:

Employing a dedicated full-time cancer care specialist nurse

Employing a part time cancer care social worker

Offering yoga classes for cancer patients

Providing Hospedia TV for cancer patients treated in Ward 11

Paul and Rob are excited to be taking part in this event for such a great cause and will be training hard to complete the challenge! Hopefully Paul’s knee holds out...
