Story

Come and join Streatham Stands Together with Save the Children in support of child refugees for a fun and family-friendly event with the Chickpea Sisters, Pram Chorus, Cakes from Around the World, Mini Love Wall, and more, as well as films and talks to inform and inspire.

Sunday 20th November, 1 - 4pm

Spires hall (next to St Leonard's church), 8 Tooting Bec Gardens, Streatham, SW16 1RB

Streatham Stands Together is an informal group of local community members who responded to racist incidents in Streatham with a Love Wall of positive and welcoming art, messages and poetry. This event is a celebration of this community initiative as well as an opportunity to raise awareness of the plight of child refugees and the work that Save the Children does to help them, and to raise funds to enable that work to continue. Our particular focus is on the Rescue at Sea appeal, to enable Save the Children to rescue refugees from the Mediterranean Sea.

Please let us know you're coming to the event and donate here (suggested voluntary ticket price £10) or by texting SREF99 and your donation amount to 70070 (by text you can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10).
