Sleeping Rough is a growing problem in our City. In the last 12 months alone, we have seen the number of rough sleepers using our service here at St Wilfrid's double. Our rough sleeper service provides anyone in need access to a hot shower, laundry facilities, hot food and clothing - all free of charge and if they so wish support from a welfare worker. For many of our clients who access this service, we are the place of last resort where they can turn. By choosing to sleep outside in our car park, next to a busy road, our Sleep Out 2019 participants will be gaining a small insight into what it is like for rough sleepers for whom sleeping rough is not a one-off experience and help raise vital funds to support our rough sleeper service.
