Story

We asked what theyd do if they saw someone bleeding. One girl said that it depended who it was if it was a stranger shed call an ambulance and leave but if it was someone she knew shed call an ambulance and apply pressure. By the end of the session she said wouldnt want someones death on her conscience and shed help anyone Volunteer reflection after a session in Birmingham. At StreetDoctors we believe knowledge is power. We put young people at the centre of emergency first-aid provision and empower young people to become part of the solution to violence, rather than just being seen as part of the problem. We equip young people affected by violence with the skills to save lives in their communities and with the knowledge to make informed decisions about keeping themselves and others safe. We do this by training young people in emergency first aid, including what to do if someone is bleeding or unconscious.
