Bupa Great South Run 2009 · 25 October 2009 ·

Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

No pain, no gain, probably insane.

This is the unofficial slogan adopted for our not-so-trivial-pursuit of generating cash for charity in the Bupa Great South Run 2009.

A specially handpicked crop of the sportiest talent from Stride Limited will be donning their moth-eaten plimsolls and airing their nylons all in favour of helping out those in need.

Our runners have chosen to support the Rowan’s Hospice, a local charity that offers support to those with terminal illnesses.

Being that this is such an inspirational organisation – please wiggle into those coffers and sponsor our very own Akabusis and Ohuruogus.

It’s not every day that people volunteer with the fear of blisters, grazes, cuts, stitches, lactic acidosis, fatigue, twists, sprains, dehydration and general collapse for the well being of others.

(don’t worry, we’ll be there at the finish line, egging you on).

GOOD LUCK GUYS!
